What is ‘Day Training’? Leave the training to the pros! This is the fastest, most effective path to having a well trained canine companion because the Certified Trainer does the brunt of the training for you, then meets with you during ‘Transfer Sessions’ to show you how to maintain your puppy’s new, polite behaviors for a lifetime. Do owners still need to do some training? Yes! It’s important for you to work with the puppy to learn how to communicate with him/her and to maintain the trained behaviors, but we do the heavy lifting and get all the behaviors on board for you.
Walk, Play and Train
Working long hours and you have a new puppy that needs a mid-day potty break, play time AND training? We can do it all in one daily visit! When we arrive, we will take your puppy out to potty, then we will train and play with your puppy, offer them water, and then get them out for one last potty break before we leave. Since all of our training is done through play and social interaction, every training session will be a fun, interactive, energy burning, social experience for your puppy. Add this option to any Day Training package below. There is no extra charge.
If you would like to learn how to train your own puppy, then Client Coaching is for you! Private one-on-one training with you and your puppy to teach you puppy training basics. We coach you along as you teach your puppy to walk politely on leash, sit, lie down, come when called, and much more.
How Early Should I begin training my puppy?
Early training and socialization are the best investments you can make in your new friend. Puppy training should begin as soon as you bring your new puppy home, while the puppy is still accepting of new things and before bad habits are formed. Let us help you train your new puppy early, so you can enjoy a lifetime with your happy and well behaved dog. All of our training is done through interactive games, toys and play. Your puppy will love it!
What is ‘Socialization’ and Why is it so Important? Puppies have a critical window of time when they more readily accept new people and experiences, and this window closes when a puppy is between 12 and 14 weeks of age. Because animals naturally fear the unknown (it’s a survival mechanism), it’s important to give them loads of positive experiences with many different people, animals, sights and sounds during this window of time to help them be the most confident and happy dog they can be. Although genetics play a significant role in behavior, we can make a significant impact in a dog’s life by socializing him/her early and well.
How to Schedule a Consultation
A consultation is required for all new clients, prior to starting any training. Please fill out the registration form below and select ‘consultation’ to request and pay for a 90 minute consultation with the trainer ($225). The trainer will contact you within 1 business day to schedule the appointment. I am not currently taking any new clients while enrolled in The Academy for Dog Trainers. I will be accepting new clients in the winter/spring of 2018. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Socialization Training: Socialization can be added to the Puppy Starter Basics package. This training gets your puppy out and about with lots of good experiences to help them be more comfortable with the world around them so they will develop into the happiest and most confident dog they can be. Socialization training can significantly reduce the likelihood that your puppy will develop fear and aggression, but there is no guarantee that socialization training will prevent fear or aggression from developing in your pet.
2 week add-on: Once you have completed the basic 4 week program, additional training can be purchased in 2 week increments if you would like intermediate level training for your puppy. The add-on package includes 6 training sessions and 2 transfer sessions, as well as e-mail and phone support. $ 760
