What is ‘Day Training’? Leave the training to the pros! This is the fastest, most effective path to having a well trained canine companion because the Certified Trainer does the brunt of the training for you! This is a great option for puppy parents who want basic manners training done during the day while the owner is at work. We come to your home and train the puppy while you are at work, at play, or watching from the sofa. We give them a potty break, play, and fun enrichment, too!
Board and Train
This is a great option for new puppies who need boarding and training, or for the busiest of puppy parents who prefer to have someone do all of the training for them, including crate and house training, and socialization, too. Leave the puppy with us, in a private home, and return to a (mostly) trained puppy! *See below for caveats. Your puppy will live with us in our family room and sleep in his/her crate in our bedroom at night, just like you would do in your own home. Puppy board and train is available Monday thru Friday, if you would like to pick up your puppy for the weekend, or 7 days/week. Family visits are welcome during the course of the training. This service is limited to 1 – 2 puppies at a time, so please reserve your slot early.
*For both day training and board and train… Our Certified Professional Dog Trainer does the brunt of the training, then meets with you during ‘Transfer Sessions’ to show you how to maintain your puppy’s new, polite behaviors for a lifetime. Do owners still need to do some training? Yes, it’s important for you to work with the puppy to learn how to communicate with him/her and to maintain the trained behaviors, but we do the heavy lifting and get all the behaviors on board for you. All packages also include follow up sessions with the trainer to ensure your continued success. Get professional results. Fast.
Walk, Play and Train
Working long hours and you have a new puppy that needs a mid-day potty break, play time AND training? We can do it all in one daily visit! When we arrive, we will take your puppy out to potty, then we will train and play with your puppy, offer them water, and then get them out for one last potty break before we leave. Since all of our training is done through play and social interaction, every training session will be a fun, interactive, energy burning, social experience for your puppy. Add this option to any Day Training package below. There is no extra charge.
How Early Should I begin training my puppy?
Early training and socialization are the best investments you can make in your new friend. Puppy training should begin as soon as you bring your new puppy home, while the puppy is still accepting of new things and before bad habits are formed. Let us help you train your new puppy early, so you can enjoy a lifetime with your happy and well behaved dog. All of our training is done through interactive games, toys and play. Your puppy will love it!
What is ‘Socialization’ and Why is it so Important? Puppies have a critical window of time when they more readily accept new people and experiences, and this window closes when a puppy is between 12 and 14 weeks of age. Because animals naturally fear the unknown (it’s a survival mechanism), it’s important to give them loads of positive experiences with many different people, animals, sights and sounds during this window of time to help them be the most confident and happy dog they can be. Although genetics play a significant role in behavior, we can make a significant impact in a dog’s life by socializing him/her early and well.
