Sometimes our dogs are just being dogs; digging, barking, chewing, jumping, stealing socks, and so on, and well, they are just doing what dogs do. We love our dogs, but sometimes all their doggie-ness can be a bit much when they bring it into our homes and our gardens, but how do we get them to stop?
Then there are other dog behaviors that are downright disconcerting, such as barking at our house guests, or growling, lunging and even biting our family members or guests. These displays are a dog’s way of saying that he is uncomfortable, afraid, frustrated, or feeling protective of his resources, such as toys, bones or food. Regardless of the reason for a dog’s aggression, from the human perspective, living with a dog who displays these behaviors can be alarming, disconcerting and stressful.
Whether it’s aggression, barking, digging, house soiling, pulling on leash, senior dog behavior and wellness, compulsive disorders, fear of vet visits, or anything in between, our Certified Professional Dog Trainer can help you manage and change those unwanted behaviors, so you can enjoy your canine companion to the fullest! Animal behavior and learning is a scientific field of study, and Christine has proven her qualifications and expertise through the numerous certifications that she has earned. If you are serious about changing your dog’s unwanted behaviors, we are serious about helping you. All training and behavior modification for your beloved family companion will be scientifically sound, rewards-based and force-free. For more about what this all means, please visit our training methods page.
What our clients say:
“Five stars are not enough for Christine! She is AMAZING! When we adopted our Kona, she was very shy and fearful, especially around people. Christine worked tirelessly with her using positive praise and yummy treats. She was so patient with Kona – and with my husband and me! Kona has made phenomenal progress – if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes I wouldn’t believe this is the same timid pup we adopted! We could not be more thrilled with the training she received from Christine. I highly, highly recommend her! What a great experience. You can really tell that she truly cares about her clients (canine and human!)” ~ Jane, Fairfax Station, VA
