Christine Michaud, PMCT, CPDT-KA
Christine holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of South Florida. She has completed Basic Training and Behavior, Behavior Modification, and Canine Aggression academies with Pat Miller at Peaceable Paws, LLC in Fairplay, Maryland, earning her recognition as a Pat Miller Certified Trainer (PMCT). She is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA); and a Professional Member of both the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Pet Professional Guild (PPG). Christine has a special interest in behavior, especially fear and aggression, and is committed to on-going education and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as it applies to canines. She is currently enrolled in the Academy For Dog Trainers to hone her training skills and advance her knowledge in the field of ABA. She is passionate about scientifically sound, force-free and rewards-based training methods and helping families enjoy their canine companions to the fullest. She loves to work with families to help them incorporate a new dog or puppy into their home with children, and she is especially passionate about helping families transition to life with their newly adopted puppy or rescue animal. Whether it’s getting your new puppy off to a great start, helping you manage your unruly adolescent dog, working with a dog who is fearful or aggressive, or anything in between, Christine can help! Christine shares her home with her 2 rescued canines, Alfredo and Gemma (who inspired her to learn about rewards-based training), her rescue cat, Ms. Kitty, her very patient husband, and two awesome teen-agers.
