Christine Michaud, CTC, PMCT, CPDT-KA
Christine holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of South Florida. She is an Honors Graduate of the highly esteemed Academy for Dog Trainers where she earned her Certificate in Training and Counseling (CTC); she is also a Pat Miller Certified Trainer, (PMCT); a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA); and a Professional Member of both the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Pet Professional Guild (PPG). Christine’s commitment to on-going education, professionalism and excellence sets her apart as one of the top trainers in Northern Virginia. She is well-educated in using Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to teach animals how we would like them to behave, and to modify unwanted behaviors. These methods are highly effective, non-violent and non-confrontational; your dog will love training, will be highly responsive to learning, and you will feel good using these methods on your beloved family companion(s). Whether it’s getting your new puppy off to a great start, helping you manage your unruly adolescent dog, addressing senior dog behavioral wellness, modifying canine compulsive disorders, fear, aggression, or anything in between, Christine can help! Christine shares her home with her 2 rescued canines, Alfredo and Gemma (who inspired her to learn about rewards-based training), her rescue cat, Ms. Kitty, her very patient husband, and two awesome teen-agers.
